Hässleholm Nord

Hässleholm Nord is a new commercial and industrial area planned on the outskirts of Hässleholm city. The site, located at a strategic junction with rail connections in five directions, is set to receive a rail link to the Southern Main Line and lies at the intersection of national roads 21 and 23. Within one hour, Kristianstad and Ängelholm airports are reachable, and within one and a half hours, Malmö Airport and Copenhagen Airport Kastrup can be accessed.

Unique opportunities

The area has an approved detailed development plan, making it possible to build on approximately 100 hectares. Part of the area has been specifically planned to allow for the establishment of a combined terminal where goods can be transferred between road and rail.

There is also potential to connect the area to the Southern Main Line. The plan includes a transfer yard with two tracks, each 816 meters long.

Enhanced power grid and capacity

The regional grid owner, E.ON Sverige AB, is making significant investments to increase the capacity of the electrical network in Hässleholm. Power capacity will be raised in phases between 2026 and 2032 to meet future demand.

Future development

Between 2026 and 2027, the detailed development plan for the area will be revised. Hässleholm Municipality therefore welcomes stakeholders who wish to reserve land at an early stage for specific future needs. Selected stakeholders who commit to such a reservation will, in return, be offered a unique opportunity to influence the area’s future design and layout.

The area will primarily target businesses that benefit from the Southern Main Line connection, require large land areas, or are perceived as disruptive. Hässleholm Municipality is particularly seeking operators who create jobs and contribute to growth and development both locally and regionally.
